Industry's trade association gets quick start on new year. New officers set to help lead DEMA activities in 2004.

February 11, 2004 - The Diving Equipment and Marketing Association announced that Mr. Robert Hollis, CEO of Oceanic has been unanimously re-elected to the office of DEMA Board President. Mr. Hollis was elected from among those on the current Board of Directors utilizing procedures outlined in the Association bylaws. The election was conducted for the new year during the first regular meeting of the DEMA Board of Directors.

Mr. Hollis has served with the Board of Directors in the past, most recently being elected to the post of President following the passing of John Cronin in 2003. Mr. Hollis was appointed to the Board as an interim Director in 2002 and has served as Vice President and as Chair of the DEMA Promotions Committee.

According to Executive Director Tom Ingram, "Bob's re-election means that we will continue to move the Association in the right direction, staying to the Goals of the Association and maintaining close ties with the DEMA Staff."

The DEMA Office is also reporting that the Board of Directors has voted in the following Officers:

Bob Clark A-2 - SSI, Vice President Wayne Hasson A-5 - Aggressor Fleet, Vice President Carl Vincenti A-5 - Aaction Adventure Watersports, Vice President Dan Babcock A-1 - XS Scuba, Treasurer Al Hornsby A-2 - PADI, Secretary
